Meet Andi
Andi Rich's career is marked by academic excellence and diverse professional experience. She graduated from Lakeland College with Magna Cum Laude honors, demonstrating her commitment to education and academic achievement.
After college, Andi found a sales job that allowed her to travel, be outside interacting with people, and assess unique challenges on every job. She began replacing roofs after a hailstorm outside Appleton, the next summer was Nashville, then Louisville, then Indianapolis, then Oklahoma City, and after several years of traveling and learning the trade, a hail storm hit near her hometown in Peshtigo, WI, and she embarked on an entrepreneurial journey in the construction industry. She obtained her general contractor's license and successfully opened her own roofing company, showcasing her business acumen and leadership skills.
Once the roofing work from the hailstorm subsided, Andi transitioned to the insurance industry. She quickly distinguished herself as an insurance adjuster. Her expertise and diligence led to rapid advancement, and she soon specialized in Large Commercial loss and RCBAP NFIP Flood adjusting. Andi's skills have taken her across borders, working internationally for 6 weeks in Canada and 3 months in Australia.
Andi's experience in carefully analyzing insurance policies has honed her ability to scrutinize complex documents. She believes this skill directly translates to reading and understanding proposed bill legislation, allowing her to comprehend and anticipate the potential impacts of new laws on her constituents.
This diverse professional background, combining practical business experience with analytical skills, uniquely positions Andi to address the multifaceted challenges facing Wisconsin's State Senate District 12.
Andi Rich's childhood in Porterfield, WI laid the foundation for her deep-rooted connection to nature and community values. Growing up with a strong love for fishing, swimming in the lakes and rivers, and engaging in outdoor activities like skiing, kayaking, and ATV riding, Andi developed a profound appreciation for the environment. Her time spent enjoying the natural beauty of Wisconsin instilled in her a passion for protecting the environment and preserving the natural resources she cherishes. Raised with a sense of accountability for her actions, Andi strongly believes in holding both governments and corporations accountable for theirs, a principle she continues to uphold in her mission to bring common sense back to Madison as a democratic candidate for Wisconsin State Senate District 12.
